Dear Parents and Guardians,
It’s that time of year again and the music students are ready to celebrate with you in their concert performances! I really appreciate the more casual community atmosphere when we have a concert at our school, but as you know, the students and family numbers are too large to comfortably fit everyone at the same time, and parking is also an issue. For this reason, here’s the plan for having our concert at BES this year:
Grades K-4 will be performing at 5:30 in a concert that will last approximately half an hour. We’d greatly appreciate it if parents whose children are only in grades K-4 leave after the concert, (even though we wish we could have everyone stay!) If you also have a performing student in grades 5 or 6 you are welcome to stay and mingle with your children. We have wonderful volunteers who will be selling baked goodies for a good cause to be decided!
The Fifth and Sixth grade Band and Chorus will perform at 7pm, along with special songs by the Ukulele Club. This concert will also last about half an hour, and there will be time to mingle and share cheer after. Even if your 5-6 student isn’t performing, we invite and encourage you to attend!
Here is the important information:
Date: Tuesday, December 10. (Snow date Tuesday, December 17)
Times: K-4 please arrive by 5:15.
5-6 Band, Chorus, and Ukulele Club please arrive by 6:45.
Place: Bristol Elementary School Gym
Attire: Please have your child wear their best, most colorful clothes. This is a great opportunity to dress up!
More details will be sent home the week before the concert.
Thanks for supporting your child’s musical endeavors and see you soon!
